Cat Health Tip: Get Dry Food Out of Your Cat's Diet!

Posted on Sunday, October 09, 2005

This announcement is important enough that I thought it appropriate to post it in our Tips & Articles section.

Christine just published a statement about why we pulled all the dry cat food off our online store - WellBeings.com.

Listen to an audio recording of our statement:
listen to podcast Well Beings - Stop Feeding Your Cat Dry Food

Full statement (text): "Why Well Beings Decided To Stop Selling Dry Cat Food "

"In the process of doing research for our own furry family and for WellBeings.com we have come to believe that dry cat food is not healthy for cats. Cats have evolved as true obligate carnivores. Their natural prey diet provides them with their daily water requirements and they have not evolved or adapted to drinking more water to replace the lack of moisture from a commercial dry kibble diet..."

We'll consult with several holistic veterinarians regarding this. And we'll publish this information here. Our experience with our own senior cats confirms this as well. Our Miss Purdy would have been proud of us (she died due to complications with feline diabetes).

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Or feel free to post a comment.
